Hiking to McCloud Falls - Middle Falls, McCloud, California, USA (Long Exposure)

After somewhat long hike along McCloud River, we got to see one of the majestic waterfalls in the entire area of Shasta County in Northern California, McCloud Falls (Middle Falls) appeared himself to us. I used to think this is the last of the 3 waterfalls, which is Upper Fall, but apparently I was wrong, I got corrected on this community of photographers and they are correct.

It still seems that this Middle Falls is the most impressive one of the three though!

The hike itself wasn't too straneous, but we felt grateful to get to see this large waterfall that keeps flowing with noise like thunders. McCloud Falls may be very fast becasue of the quantity of water from melted snow from the great Mount Shasta.

November at Shasta Lake, California [Panorama]

Nrthern California has quite different sceneries from what people would generally imagine as "California". Beautiful colors can be observed there with foliage turning colors into yellow and red, and it snows in winter.

Coming back from Oregon, I got to see some beautiful colors there in November. California is a large state, really.

Hedge Creek Falls & Hiking Trail, Dunsmir, California, USA

For my birthday back in 2012, I organized a trip to Shasta area in Northern California. We rented a little house near Dunsmir in Northern California.

Ok, enough of digression - this Hedge Creek Falls is a little hiking trail that has a few waterfalls if I recall them right, and the landscape around it was quite stunning to say the least. Some good memories of summer back in 2012.

The Majestic, Blue, Snow-Capped Mt. Shasta, California, USA

The view of Mt. Shasta from north, near Grass Lake.

Every time I see this mountain, I just feel "wow"... What a great mountain, it always makes me think of Mt. Fuji from Japan because of its snow-cap on the top. I love the area of Shasta too, where you can see so many waterfalls and hiking trails.

Lakehead-Lakeshore, California, USA

After staying a few nights in Mount Shasta area, we headed back to San Francisco Bay again. Before going back, there was a large lake / river on the way called Shasta Lake. So why not, we just picked one part of it randomly and enjoyed the sun, water, and friends time.

Memories back in 2012.

Northern California got some clean air, clean water, where butterflies can freely roam around...
