N893AT was delivered new (on lease from Boeing Capital Corporation [BCC]) to AirTran Airways on December 14, 2004. After AirTran was acquired by Southwest Airlines (SWA), an airline with an all-737 fleet, N893AT would then enter service (on lease from BCC) with Delta Air Lines (along with other former AirTran 717-200s) on March 6, 2014.
