The sole Stanier double-chimney 'Jubilee' 4-6-0 No. 45596 'BAHAMAS' is seen here at Peterborough, after dropping off an NVR conductor. She was working 5Z45, the 1335 Orton Mere to Milford Junction.
She was built by North British (NBL) at Queen's Park, Glasgow, in December 1934, and entered service at Crewe North (5A) in January 1935
She was later allocated to Preston (10B), Bristol Barrow Road (22A) in April 1947, Crewe North (5A) in September 1947,
Edge Hill (8A) in August 1948,
Huddersfield (25B) in September 1950, Edge Hill (8A) in January 1957, Carlisle Upperby (12B) in February 1961 , and finally to Stockport Edgeley (9B) in July 1962 (whose Shed Plate she carries).
She received her double blastpipe and chimney in May 1961.
She was withdrawn in July 1966, and purchased for preservation in January 1967.
