En la actualidad un cordón de unos varios metros de anchura formado por cantos rodados cierra este punto de la desembocadura del río Mijares por su margen derecho, la desembocadura constituye un paraje de zona húmeda diferente y separado del Mediterráneo por una lengua de piedras donde encontramos, a un lado un lago que empieza a perder salinidad y en la otra el mar.
Currently, a ridge of several meters wide formed by boulders closes this point of the mouth of the Mijares River on its right bank. The mouth constitutes a different wetland area and is separated from the Mediterranean by a tongue of stones where we find, on one side, a lake that is beginning to lose salinity and on the other, the sea.
