On my walk today, I also saw a pair of American Wigeons that appeared to be a mated pair. Unfortunately like most ducks the male is only around for a short time leaving it up to the female to raise her brood.

Another unusual duck at Creamers. This is a hybrid of an American Wigeon and a Eurasion Wigeon. It has the dark reddish head of the Eurasion but retains the green stripe over the eye. I had the Merlin app on my phone, and it recognized a Eurasion.
