Surrounded by rolling hills and offering breathtaking views of the Belianske Tatras, Osturňa is the perfect spot to experience Slovakia’s natural beauty. The frosted fields and colourful autumn leaves in October make the early morning light feel magical.

October morning in Osturňa captures the beauty of autumn with frost-covered fields and fiery red and gold leaves standing against the crisp mountain air. The village is set in one of Slovakia’s most scenic valleys, with the Tatra Mountains as a breathtaking backdrop.

A single Perseid meteor caught in the brief window of clear skies above the Chalet Plesnivec (Edelweiss Hut) in the Belianske Tatry, easternmost part of the Tatra Mts., Slovakia.
Polaris and the constellation of Ursa Minor are just above the meteor. The brightest star in the light haze on the right is Capella in the constellation of Auriga, 6th brightest star in the sky.

One of the tough sections of this famous trail, as it ascends the 'Nemecky rebrik' to Velka Svistovka; it is steep, rocky and chained. This photo shows the view over the 'Zeleneho plesa' valley to the 'Belianske Tatry' mountains.
