Lava Tubes are, by my definition, pretty cool. The thought that molten lava poured out of a volcano and the exposed surface cooled to form a solid rock shell covering an empty tube, so big that you can walk through it, is just wild.
Be that as it may, I've never found them to be photogenic.
Until now.
Skylight Cave in Central Oregon features three hornitos (skylights) that create incredible light beams. As a photographer, this view just stunned me. Truly unexpected and unequalled.
Cheers!
