Actually, the name of this work is "Who's Got The Umbrella" by Vancouver artist Greg Kawczynski. It is a marble sculpture of two people in conversation. The concrete pedestals support marble blocks carved into the shape of human heads with smoothly classical features. Commissioned for the opening of the Deep Cove Cultural Centre in 1992, the sculptures' flat upper surface and title allude to the effects of local weather. A pretty cool piece of art.
We had a wonderful visit to Lanhydrock House and Gardens and once again I was presented with some wonderful photographic opportunities of light and shadow. No flash was allowed so ideal for the Leica SL2 coupled with the Leica Noctilux 50mm F0.95 M lens manually adapted. The image was captured at ISO 100 and aperture at F0.95.
