The 40" engine was supplied by Harvey's of Hayle in 1857 to pump from Ding Dong Engine Shaft and was moved to Greenburrow Shaft in 1865 where a new house had been built the previous year. As well as pumping from Greenburrow, it continued to pump from Ding Dong Shaft via flat rods.
