Shot in the West Berkshire countryside, west of Newbury, in 590nm Infrared. This is a "Brenizer Method" panorama composed of multiple images.
I prefer shooting this way as opposed to a wide angle lens, because it allows me to get closer to what the (my) human eye sees in a landscape scene.
We humans have a zoom range from roughly 35mm up to 135mm. Sometimes up to 200mm. I don't know whether this is the equivalent of a "digital" range, where our brain zooms in on a particular aspect in the landscape, but I found that it translates well to 135mm and sometimes 200mm focal lengths. No lens can do both "wide" and "zoomed-in". Like mixing water and oil. So you have to force the marriage... :)
So, combining multiple longer focal range images into a panorama, basically is a true representation how I often see the landscape.
