Northbound at MP 507.7 on the Birmingham Sub, a pair of C44-9W Warbonnets (BNSF 774 & BNSF 717) led a mixed freight through Olive Branch, Mississippi.
A trio of ES44DC's (BNSF 7210, BNSF 7337 & BNSF 7381) and one ES44C4 (BNSF 6643) lead a southbound intermodal train on the Birmingham Sub at MP 507.7 in Olive Branch, Mississippi.
BNSF 5433 (C44-9W) leads EIGHT other engines northbound, across Mason Road on the Birmingham Sub in Byhalia, Mississippi, as it transitions from the siding to the mainline at North Byhalia.
Nine locomotives are out front on this BNSF northbound frieght as it crosses Red Banks Road near Olive Branch, Mississippi, on the Birmingham Subdisivion. In my latest blog post, our long-running Fred’s series takes a shift: with Fred’s now fully out of business, we’re transitioning to exploring closed stores’ lives after Fred’s, beginning with this location in Byhalia, MS. This one’s a perfect transition piece, as I photographed the store both with all its Fred’s signage still intact post-closure, and as its new tenant, Roses Express, celebrated its grand opening in October 2020 – fitting that I’m posting it this month!
