Christmas Cards

I finally finished writing my Christmas cards! I hope it’s not too late to mail them!

This Blythe doll is Cinema Princess, posing for Winter Celebration in Blythe Pure and Simple on Facebook. She’s wearing the amazing outfit I got from Junie Moon. The background is a fun jigsaw puzzle I recently completed.

The Big Apple

Cece got a vendor’s license, so she is selling apples in New York City! Her slogan is “Don’t settle for a hot dog; enjoy an APPLE!”

This Blythe doll is Cinema Princess, posing for 30 Days of Apples in Blythe Pure and Simple on Facebook. The apple-head Sonny Angel is part of a New York City set. Cece’s outfit was in the goody bag I got at BlytheCon NYC in 2013. Hat by Poppy Tree Lane on Etsy.

We Are The Champions

It was a great day for both horse and rider at the Blytheville Equestrian Show! Cecilia and Maximus won a ribbon in every event they entered, and they were named the overall champions!

This Blythe doll is Cinema Princess, wearing one of her stock outfits, for the theme “Horse” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. When I was a teenager, I had a horse and rode in some horse shows. It was fun!

Jan. 17: Bicentennial

Everything is better with fireworks!

These Blythe dolls are Cinema Princess, Tokyo Bright, Simply Sparkly Spark, and Precocious Candy’s Mushroom, posing for the theme “American Bicentennial” in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr. I made the fireworks stand out of card stock and colored pencils. The tiny dollar bills with which they are paying came out of my Mini Brands Advent calendar last month—that stack of money was my favorite gift in the calendar!

Cinema Princess

If you have Cinema Princess with her stock, does your COA inside have a number on the teal ribbon?

Doll is authentic. I bought her from Gina Garan and just noticed this, lol. So I’m nosy to see if others have blank or numbered ribbons. The ones I saw on Mandarake looked numbered.

Cherished Memories

Cinema Princess and Enchanted Petal are my helpers today, as we show off my Christmas stocking for the theme “Cherished Memories” in the Blythe a Day group. My mother made the stocking for me when I was a baby and I’ve used it ever since. It’s in pretty good shape for being 60 years old, considering that I used to play with it in the days before Christmas by actually wearing it around the house! Sadly, my mother now suffers from memory loss, but she still remembers some things, and she remembers making this stocking.

Cece doesn't know that much about computers.

Teddy Bear Picnic

There are few things as pleasant as a picnic eaten in perfect comfort. --W. Somerset Maugham

As a child, I loved stuffed animals, but I had kitties and bunnies rather than bears--so I've never had or attended a teddy bear picnic before. Is that weird?

These dolls are: on the far left, Middie Lena Elena; then Cinema Princess, Asha Alvira, and Sea Sailor See. The table and food are for Our Generation Dolls at Target. This picture is for the theme "Teddy Bear Picnic" in the Blythe a Day group on Flickr.

Christmas Every Day

"Peace on earth will come to stay, when we live Christmas every day."
--Helen Steiner Rice

I love this quote because, even though it's not great poetry and it's a bit sappy, the message is actually true.

This Blythe doll is Cinema Princess. How can she be so perfectly Christmas-y? Oh, I know, it must be the pretty new dress she is wearing, which was part of my recent swap with Sandie in the Blythe Swappin' group on Facebook.

Christmas in my Heart

"I will honor Christmas in my heart and try to keep it all the year."
--Scrooge, in Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol

Many Hands Make Light Work

When everyone works together, the decorating gets done so much faster.

These Blythe dolls are, from left to right: Cream Cheese and Jam, Cinema Princess, and Elegant Ellie. I made the dresses; the two hats on the left are from Paper Source; the hat on the right is a dog hat from Walmart and it fits Blythe PERFECTLY!
