MY Infinity is the longest yacht to visit Norway in 2023.
Yesterday I noticed super yacht 'Anawa' entering Oak Bay, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada, apparently for a second visit to the Victoria area. Today I took another photo, this time with the sun behind me for better highlighting of the yacht itself which had moved slightly along the shoreline since yesterday's photo (see link below)
The "Anawa' is a 62 meter three-year-old product of Damen Yachting shipyard in the Netherlands. Coming towards us on Ten Mile Point and then turning slowly to port I must admit I mistook the yacht for a small car-carrying vessel, what with the unusual snub-nose-shaped bow and relative height compared to length (the car carriers are regular visitors here, transporting vehicles from Korea and Japan to ports along the N.Am. west coast).
On my photo, through the heat haze, the shoreline beyond the yacht is the eastern shore of Oak Bay, Victoria; the backdrop is the Olympic Mountains of N.W. Washington State USA. See photo 1 for better view of the Olympic Mts: (link below)
