De Kunstlinie (SANAA, 1998-2007): waterfront performing arts center, handled with SANAA's trademark super-minimalism. We got a full tour in 2010, so further commentary will wait until I get to those photos (sigh). This little "reflection" moment is one of the real highlights if you ask me; looks like I was also taken with it back in 2008.

De Kunstlinie
Amidst the striking architecture of the new city centre of Almere, De Kunstlinie of the Japanese architects Sejima and Nishizawa is as a tranquil haven on the water. The complex contains a theatre and a cultural centre with a variety of course spaces. Three theatre halls are sticking out above an almost square building , which also include some patios of daylight. To emphasize the large theatre hall, two equally high foyers are added and the room walls are equiped with a brightly coloured mural.
