Hosta line the landscape pool in the courtyard of the 411 East Wisconsin building in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Late June 2024. IMG_5268
Probably Hosta sieboldiana, and maybe also Hosta sieboldii.
In 2022 and 2023, a landscape sculpture "Courtyard Sea" by Maya Lin was installed in the pool, in lieu of water. In 2024, the Maya Lin work was removed, and the pool refilled with water.
The modernist MGIC Plaza in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The complex opened in 1971. The buildings and complex master plan were designed by Skidmore, Owings and Merrill (SOM). I don't know if SOM also did the landscape architecture or if they had another firm do the landscape design.
This view looks northwest, the ten-story office building is at left, the "inverted pyramid" is out of view to the left, Broadway is at right.
The row of trees is probably Japanese cherry (Prunus serrulata) but I don't have a positive ID.

A shallow construction trench. I think they were replacing a natural gas utility line, though it could have been steam (there is an underground steam utility network in downtown Milwaukee). The contractor is KS Energy Services. On Water Street in downtown MIlwaukee, Wisconsin. Early March 2022. IMG_7237
It's a rainy day, and note the blue open tent being used to cover a section of the trench where work is being done.
