An almost bone dry River Greta at God's Bridge near Bowes, Teesdale. This is limestone country and along this stretch it is not unusual to see the river bed virtually empty as the Greta flows underground, emerging further down on East Mellwaters farm. Taken on the Bowes Loop part of the Pennine Way.
