Going forward and backwards

The Re 6/6 had just come in with a rather short train to be shunted over to couple the remaining train.

Doing a roof: up there (1/3)

We did in October 2020 the roof of our Ae 3/6 I.
Doing the roof meant the following: removing old paint, priming the roof, painting it in silver.
Prime and paint the wooden side walks for the personal.
When working up there without these side walks, you had always to be sure to hold on something stable.

You might also notice that this track has no overhead wire installed, so at least no danger at all from above or the power in the wire.

Doing a roof: with side walk (2/3)

Here the fresh pantographs are visible.
The roof itself already got dirty again due to the removal of paint somewhere else on the locomotive.

You see on the right hand side that the side walk has been fix already. It is still missing on the left hand side.

Another Re 4/4 II in primer

The extrazug.ch association has bought Re 4/4 II 11110 from BLS and is currently painting it green.

This yellow layer is the primer coat. The frame already has its standard grey colour received. They will present this machine then on 17 May to the public when the Emmentalbahn celebrates its 150 years birthday.

historic locomotives: the little Sécheron (1/3)

This is one of my favourite historic electric locomotives, as it is a small machine, with rather small motors compared to the Buchli machines.

A beautiful guest in Brugg (103/365)

We had the De 6/6 - "Seetal Krokodil" - as a morning guest. They came in on Saturday and had then trains between Brugg and Wildegg.

I'm always a bit surprised that they decided to paint their electric locomotives in black.

A long snout!

Yes, we have received a crocodile in Brugg. The machine was 42 years in Lucerne in the transport museum.
It has to be restablished to running state until the next big SBB event. Most ilkely, the Dampfgruppe Brugg would like to this faster.

Give me a crocodile (25/365)

It is an amazing machine. Everybody came and looked at it, climbed into the drivers cabin to inspect the gears and tools.
