This tree is just bursting with blossoms this time of year. It's the smallest tree in our yard, but we love the spring blossoms it produces.

I haven't been back here in such a long time. Life has thrown me some unexpected challenges, and I lost my ability to concentrate. My camera was tucked away, gathering dust for years. Just a few days ago, I felt a strong desire to hold the camera in my hands once more and ventured out to capture some images. I had forgotten how much joy photography brings me. It truly feels like a part of who I am. If I had been taking photos all this time, maybe life wouldn't have felt so overwhelming.

And I really missed all of you here. I know many of you have likely moved on. Just remember, you were always in my thoughts.

We got hit with freezing rain, but not as bad as other regions near and far away. These berries hold their color and shape pretty well over the winter, and because they are not native to the area, the birds leave them alone.

The last shot of the chase was arguably the best shot. Save the best for last!
My buddy, Kelly Thompson, watched this shot take place as he walked back to the truck from the gas station with his candy bar and water after a long day of taking pictures. He didn't think there would be enough of a sun pocket.

This old wooden building dates back to at least 1891 per a website. This old building belonged to an Iron mining company. The first floor was apparently changing rooms and showers for the miners. The second floor was for meetings for the union.

On the north shore of Lake Michigan, off Aronson Island/Escanaba. The shoreline here was quite desolate, though there were ice fishing shacks off in the distance. The big blue chunks of ice from Lake Michigan presented some interesting color and shapes.
