Cinderella Story – Sculpture At Ulele, Water Works Park & Armature Works, Tampa - IMRAN®
Tampa offers some truly wonderful spaces to explore, and my evening at Ulele was no exception. I enjoyed a fabulous dinner with great colleagues and friends, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of this beloved waterfront destination.
The restored Cinderella horse-drawn pumpkin carriage sculpture, originally part of Tampa’s historic Fairyland at Lowry Park, has been lovingly restored and now stands as a nostalgic tribute to the city’s past. The whimsical piece, featuring Cinderella’s iconic carriage, evokes childhood memories for many Tampa natives who once marveled at these fairy-tale displays.
Though I grew up in Pakistan, fairy tales like Cinderella were a cherished part of my childhood. My siblings and I knew these timeless stories well, dreaming of enchanted castles, magical transformations, and happily-ever-afters.
Seeing this sculpture here in Tampa was a reminder of how fairy tales transcend borders, weaving magic into childhoods across the world. Thanks to restoration efforts, it continues to enchant visitors at Ulele, blending history with the modern charm of the Riverwalk.

Unique Outdoor Sunset Dinner Space – Water Works Park & Armature Works, Tampa - IMRAN®

Tampa offers some truly wonderful spaces to explore, and my evening at Ulele was no exception. I enjoyed a fabulous dinner with great colleagues and friends, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere of this beloved waterfront destination.
Before we were seated in the area behind me, I captured this stunning HDR (high dynamic range) image, showcasing the warm hues of the setting sun and the inviting ambiance of the space. The signature orange chairs complement the restored Cinderella horse-drawn pumpkin carriage sculpture, visible to the far right.

Thoroughly enjoyed this narrow, lush, and mossy path a couple of kilometers past St. Olavsspranget. It was peaceful and cheery, unlike the world—a true fairytale. (Trøndelag, Norway)

The number of huge trees I had to crawl over and under and around. The most incredible mazes of broken giants aren’t shown as I was using all my limbs to maneuver.
My only regret was today’s choice of footwear when mud sucked the summer shoes right off my feet. Boots are better.
Fairy tales often paint life as magical, where heroes triumph and dreams come true. But when these stories seep into our expectations, they can sometimes set us up for disappointment. Not every love story is everlasting, not every challenge leads to glory, and life rarely unfolds like the tales we grew up believing.
The idea of "happily ever after" can leave us ill-equipped for the messy realities—failed relationships, unfulfilled ambitions, or struggles that don’t resolve with a neat bow. These fairy tales gone wrong challenge us to reconcile the fantasy of perfection with the beauty of embracing life’s imperfections.
Yet, even in the wake of disappointment, we can carry the essence of magic with us. It’s in the unexpected kindness of strangers, the resilience we find in ourselves, and the moments of quiet joy that remind us life doesn’t need a castle or a prince to be extraordinary.
Holding onto a sense of wonder allows us to reframe the story, finding beauty in a reality that, while flawed, is uniquely ours. It’s not the story we expected, but it’s still one worth telling.
