Even though it was still green and mild, the garden didn't have that many flowers, only mom's "kultapallot."

Even on an overcast fall day, this is one of my favorite views. It's in Perämäki, Alahärmä. If you turn left, you end up in Alahärmä center after a beautiful ride through Kurjenluhta, and if you turn right, the road will take you to Ylihärmä center.

I put my old Indian tablecloth on the carpet rack to dry. I think it is a nice contrast to the barnwall and the greenery.
Pesin Intiasta tuomani pöytäliinan ja kun ripustin kuivumaan, ajattelin, että sehän sopii hyvin maisemiin!

I painted this porch in the fall of 2010. This time, I added a nice piece of Indian cotton that went well with my paint job. I also painted a few more plates to put above the windows. The rubber boots and umbrellas are lined up in the corner because it rained a lot in September 2011.

I love this picture: It has family pictures (Mom would kill me if she saw the one with the hair rollers); it contains inside and outside, refuge and prospect. This bedroom wall says, "Let's wake up and smell the coffee while we are are still here!"

I'm pretty pleased with this picture because my camera automatically uses the flashlight in the dark. This is at the end of September at our parents' farm in Karnaatti, Finland.

The sun is shining, the flowers blooming and the bees buzzing. Oh, lovely. By the way Timo, nice job on the lawn! Aurinko paistaa, kukat kukkii, mehiläiset surisee. Ihanaa. Timo, hieno nurmikko! Vai onko se Esan työtä?

I didn't put these pictures in the correct narrative order. First you see the thunderclouds and then it rains. So what that dark cloud produced was more of a heavy downpour than lightning and thunder. This was at our parents' farm in Karnaatti, Finland, in July 2011.

This is a different view of the same thundercloud. The picture was taken by my brother Timo in July 12011. Nämä ukkoskuvat ovat väärässä järjestyksessä. Ne pitää nyt "lukea" oikealta vasemmalle: pilvi lähestyy, se on ihan päällä, ja viimein sataa.

I took this picture on my parents' farm in Karnaatti, Finland in September 2010. The path was worn by many feet and many bicycles as a shortcut from the road to our house but now it's almost overgrown.

Tämä polku on pian muisto vain...

The trees were just seedlings, especially the fir tree that's growing from the foundation.

Well, the leaves looked so pretty, and I was too lazy, in all honesty. This was in September 2009.
Meinasin haravoida, mutta muutinkin mieleni...

View from our living room window in Karnaatti, Finland

I took this picture from our living room widow in September 2009. My auntie Sisko made the himmeli you see hanging in front of the window. "Himmeli" is a traditional Christmas decoration made of straw.
