It is said that a giant once lived here. Below the mountain there are Blacksåsvallen and a lake (Blacksåstjärn) that looks like a footprint. According to legend, the mince lives on Blacksås. Blacksåsberget is rewritten in Selma Lagerlöf's story about Nils Holgersson's wonderful journey through Sweden.
