Images of hyphae of Aspergillus fumigatus, (culture proven) from areas of the same slide. The image on the right shows cross sections of markedly swollen hyphae simulating the appearance of Mucor. This appearance is usually associated with anti-fungal treatment. The history of this case is not known.
