Togo Government (Force Aérienne Togolaise)

5V-TAC is coming in to land on Riem’s runway 07. Two Togo Government jets, this Gulfstream II and Fokker F-28 5V-MAB, arrived at Riem in the middle of a very busy September Saturday (17 September 1977). 5V-MAB left on 19 September, but returned three days later, on 21 September, and then stayed till 24 September. 5V-TAC stayed the full week from 19 to 24 September.

This Gulfstream II (converted G-IISP in January 1997) was delivered to Togo Government in January 1976 and sold on in November 1981. Following a string of US operators, it last flew as XA-CVS from 2005. (Sources: planelogger.com, scramble.nl)

On 22 January 2020, the plane was found abandoned and empty by law enforcement officers near the Crooked Tree Sanctuary in Belize. It likely had been used for transporting drugs. (Source: aviation-safety.net)
