Country: Britain - Scotland. Style: Traditional Scottish Folk.
Lineup: Jerry Douglas (dobro/MD), Aly Bain (fiddle/MD), Larry Campbell & Teresa Williams (v/g), Julie Fowlis (v/whistle/bagpipes), Niall McCabe (v/g/banjo), Loudon Wainwright III (v/g), Allison de Groot (banjo), Tatiana Hargreaves (fiddle), John McCusker (fiddle), Michael McGoldrick (flute/whistle/uilleann pipes), Donald Shaw (p/piano accordion/harmonium), John Doyle (g/bouzouki/v), Daniel Kimbro (b/bass g/v), James Mackintosh (d).
This was the fifteenth year I have attended a Transatlantic Sessions concert, and I have taken photos at twelve of them, see: www.flickr.com/photos/kmlivemusic/tags/transatlanticsessi.... The "house band" has been the same since Allison de Groot and Tatiana Hargreaves were added. However, this year Phil Cunningham was absent (presumably for health reasons). The "guests" were newcomers apart from Julie Fowlis (who was part of the tour in 2009, 2011, 2014 and 2018).
In this photo: Julie Fowlis is from North Uist and is now based in Dingwall in the Highlands.
