Taken from in the field behind Hele signal box we see Class 45 45141 about to pass a semaphore signal while working the 08;55 Penzance to Newcastle not the best of pictures as I should of pressed the shutter a split second sooner as the signal post is on the front of the loco KC. 33003. 45004/102/142. 47011/178/257/274/441. 50004/6/27/36/43/50. 43012/13/23/165. All went into my camera that day 20/09/1985.

I started this rather dull day photographing at Tiverton Junction, then paid a quick visit to Hele to take a few pictures before the semaphore signals dissapeared, Class 45 45004 Royal Irish Fusilier { no nameplate this side] storms past with a speedlink service, you can see S@T workers in the distance a color light signal still with a cross on it, not long to go before the end of semaphore signals here. At this time there was still plenty of loco hauled to photograph, Class 33/45/47/50 were seen + Hst's making it a good day out. KC. 19/09/1985.
