Fifth floor corridor in the historic wing at Hotel 24 South in Staunton, Virginia, lit with daylight LED bulbs rather than soft white LED bulbs. The daylight bulbs lent a blue tint to the hallway, while soft white bulbs, which is what were usually installed here, were more in character with the design of the hotel. These bulbs were clearly installed by mistake, because the next time that I visited this hotel, these daylight bulbs were replaced with the correct color bulbs.

Room 502 at Hotel 24 South, a boutique hotel in downtown Staunton, Virginia. 502 is located in the hotel's historic wing, built in 1924. Unlike the new wing, which has rooms that are fairly uniform, the rooms in the historic wing vary somewhat in size and shape.

The penthouse space was originally intended for use as living quarters for the owner of the Stonewall Jackson Hotel. When the building was expanded and renovated to its current form in 2005, the penthouse was not included in the renovation work due to a lack of elevator access. Therefore, the space retains many vintage architectural and decorative elements. The current hotel management uses this space primarily for storage.
