Ah the good use to which this patch of dirt at the edge of the parking lot is being put at last: as a comfortable bed for a clump of honeylocust saplings.
May the clump continue to expand such that assholes' monstertrucks are blocked from dragging mud onto the patch of tactile pavement.

La Vallée des Saints (Traoñienn ar Sent en breton) est un projet associatif de statuaire monumentale en cours de réalisation en Bretagne, dans la commune de Carnoët (Côtes-d'Armor).
Il s'agit de réaliser une « Île de Pâques bretonne du troisième millénaire », un lieu honorant la mémoire collective bretonne à travers la mise en place de grandes statues en granit (d'environ trois mètres de hauteur) à l'effigie de 1 000 saints bretons représentés avec leurs attributs. Le projet repose sur le mécénat, le financement de chaque statue par une entreprise ou par des particuliers.
This was one of the more interesting sunsets that we had while staying in Hana, Maui. This was a 5 second exposure taken just after sunset. I posted one shot horizontal and one vertical.
From the veranda of our stateroom aboard the Celebrity Reflection, I took several photos of our views of Santorini (Σαντορίνη). Here, you can see the capital of Fira (Φηρά) perched atop the cliffs and the island's ''old port'' (also known as Skala, or Σκαλα) below it. Toward the left, Fira merges into Firostefani (Φηροστεφανι), which translates as the ''Crown of Fira''; this older village is now essentially a suburb of Fira. To the right of Fira is an abandoned building located at an old pumice quarry. (If you click the link, you can see the opposite side of the building, which I photographed as we drove past it on our ''Island of Santorini & Village of Oia'' excursion.)
