While I was visiting the stand by Artemide, suddenly the Foreign Affairs Minister of Italy and Deputy Prime Minister
Prof. Antonio Tajani,
entered with a huge crowd and stood just in front of me for about ten minutes while the Artemide Chairwoman was explaining to him the evolutionary lighting platform system INTEGRALIS®, (photo & details at my other post flic.kr/p/2oYJsCo).
Notwithstanding the big crowd, TV channels and at least twenty Photographers, as well as the obvious frantic and emotional mood, I kept quiet and engaged in training, shooting the Minister in all his most curious and coolest expressions. It interested me, our Foreign Affairs Minister was auditor not speaker in this circumstance, so it was more fun capturing his spontaneous gazes !
This photo: one of my portraits to him, shot last April 23. I love this expression in profile looking up and preferred to isolate just his bust from the surrounding crowd by editing my photo with a contour-cut out.

Short Bio: born in Rome in 1953, Antonio Tajani graduated in Law and was an officer in the Italian Air Force. He has the press card as professional and parliamentary journalist, editor of the weekly magazine "Il Settimanale", host speaker at the Giornale radio 1 Rai and was in charge of the Roman editorial staff of the daily newspaper "Il Giornale". Married, two children, speaks. French, Spanish and English. From 2017 to 2019 he was President of the European Parliament. Since 2018 he has been Vice-President of the political party Forza Italia and since 2019 Vice-President of the European People's Party. He has been Foreign Affairs Minister in office since 22 October 2022 and Deputy Prime Minister (Vice-President) -incumbent- of the Italian Government led by Giorgia Meloni.
