The first Cadillac Model A in Britain was brought by Frederick Stanley Bennett in 1903, who also drove it in the Thousand Miles Trial. Bennett later became the official UK importer and conducted standardisation tests in 1908 to show the interchangeability of components. Cadillac, founded in 1902 by Henry Leland, focused on precision engineering to create quality mass-produced vehicles. Despite high production standards, over 2,000 Cadillacs were produced in 1903.
