Splish Splash I was takin' a bath

The little bathtub was my late motherr-in-laws. She had it in her bathroom to hold soap and the plug for the sink. I figured it might make a great photo prop at somepoint.

With a little help from a bathtub toy that I had for MFM a number of years ago and some clear glass marbles to sub as "bubbles" I put the Lensbaby Scout and the Twist 60 on the Canon 7D.

I am scanning slides and negatives

I bought a slide viewer light box and a proper tripod for my iPhone so I could scan the many slides and negatives that both my late mother-in-law and my late mother had. The slide on the viewer is of my late mother-in-law that Mike's dad took of her when they were first married.

Took a photo of the set up with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II and the Lensbaby Composer Pro with the sweet 35 optic at f4.

I want to thank you for taking the time to visit my little space here on Flickr.

Scarves with a Lensbaby

You have to love Facebook memories when they pop up and show you that you posted images of scarves taken with a Lensbaby years ago. I figured it was time I did a "re-do" of the images.

15 x 100 images of Same View Different Day in 2025

We still have not seen a nice sunrise here that I could capture. Managed to get a Blue Jay in Flight in the sky on this one. I waited until around 9 before heading out to grab a few shots.

These litle Tchotkes as my daughter would call them were at my late mother-in-laws home. I brought them home knowing they would be willing models.

Played with the sliders in Lightroom Classic to get htem a bit brighter as they are quite brassy looking.

Day 18 - 21 Day Flickr Challenge - inspriation

I posted this image back in 2023 on the 2nd of January to introduce myself on a 365 project.

I have to admit my "creative side" of photography has been inspired by my creative photography instructor Meike Geist and by Canadian Photographers Richard Martin a good friend, Andre Gallant whom I have had the priviledge to hear speak at a couple of Photo Club events and Freeman Patterson.

These books are on my shelf and I refer to them quite often.

Day 53/365 in 2025

My late mother-in-law, like any other woman of her generation, loved to have a cup of tea out of a nice tea cup. I think tea tastes better in a tea cup.

Mike decided that each of her granddaughters and great granddaughters should have a tea cup to remember her by.

This Royal Albert Canadian Provincial Flowers Tea Cup will go to one of the granddaughters or great granddaughters. For me, this tea cup was a willing model with the Lensbaby Composer Pro and Sweet 50 optic with a Yonguno Speedlight on the camera.

Another dull dreary day

Put the Original Double Glass Optic in the Lensbaby Scout housing with an f4 aperture ring today and added on the telephoto adapter that you were able to get for the optics. They also had a wide and super wide angle adapter that screwed on which I have as well but wanted to see the telephoto reach as I have not used the adapters in a dog's age.

If you look close there are some blue jays in the tree.

Day 12/365 in 2025

Put the Original Double Glass Optic in the Lensbaby Scout housing with an f4 aperture ring today. I added a Kenko Extension Tube rather than the macro converters in the Scout and put a +10 macro filter on the optic to grab a shot of some snowflakes on a piece of firewood.

Kevin is all tangled up in the garland

We started to get snow and are expecting freezing rain as well so it was indoors with Kevin to see what I could capture.

December is a bit of a hectic month for us so hopefully I will get to see all of your images very soon that I may have missed. In the meantime, I will thank you now in advance for having a peak at my images here.
