Sunlight filters through,
Yellow stars dot the forest floor,
Small joy in the shade.

This is quickly becoming my favorite lens to photograph wildflowers with.
Spring Flowers...
in the shaded garden on the north side of my cottage.
In shaded nooks, where shadows play,
Bleeding hearts, in gentle sway.
Each heart, a drop of crimson hue,
Reflecting sorrow, old and new.
With lily of the valley's grace,
They fill the air with sweet embrace.
A whispered sigh, a fragrant breeze,
Among the flowers and the trees.
A tender touch, a gentle sigh,
Beneath the soft, pale sky.

I use old cookie sheets that I sprayed with Black Glossy Paint for another idea I had, but thought it would provide a beautiful backdrop to the flowers and vase with the reflection from the window highlighting the vase.
Taken on a cloudy day with natural light.
I used a Lensbaby SOL 22 lens.
Processed in DxO Labs.

I didn't notice this tiny bee until I sat on the ground for a bit to try and focus the Lensbaby SOL 22 on the flowers.
I was so lucky to see this and actually get it in focus!

I can sit on a deer trail and just admire them! Lucky me!
