The red squirrel or Eurasian red squirrel is a species of tree squirrel in the genus Sciurus common throughout Eurasia. The red squirrel is an arboreal, omnivorous rodent. In Great Britain, Ireland, and in Italy numbers have decreased drastically in recent years. Thankfully they are a relatively common sight in Scotland and this one was caught eating at a bird feeding station at Loch Spynie nature reserve in Moray.
