Mike "Stand" Treece and Corky Clyde (his real name) were members of the Speed Queens, a glam punk band from (mainly) the East Bay (Mike "San Francisco Mike" Monko was the exception). I shot this with my trusty Pentax K1000, 50mm f2 Pentax Takumar SMC (Super Multi Coated) lens, on Kodak Safety Film 5063 (better known as Tri-X).
Anyway, I photographed these two right before they took the stage at the Mabuhay Gardens (the Fab Mab, as it was called). Mike and I were classmates at Piedmont High and had both graduated the previous May. Corky had moved to the Bay Area from Albuquerque, and later moved back, and still resides there, but he since changed his name to Keith Drummond.
