Peter's Lookout is a must-stop spot on the road to Mount Cook, offering epic views of Aoraki (Mount Cook) and Lake Pukaki. Located about 13 km down Mt Cook Road, it's the perfect place to snap those iconic New Zealand road trip photos. Just pull over, soak in the stunning scenery, and don't forget to capture the moment! And hey, if you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of some fluffy clouds dancing around the majestic mountain.

Sunrise point at Moreaki Boulders

These larger than life, naturally formed, perfectly spherical boulders were truly a sight to behold, the beauty of New Zealand never fails to amaze me. Not only was I greeted with a magnificent sunrise but I also had the good fortune to capture this starburst as a bonus.

Open edition, archival print available here:

The sandy beach at Koekohe is well-known for the Moeraki Boulders, which are large spherical boulders also called septarian concretions. These rocks can measure up to 3 meters in diameter and have cracks on their surfaces, giving them the appearance of dinosaur eggs. Interestingly, they are also hollow inside.
