Pronanac volunteers joined IOM’s shelter repair training, gaining hands-on experience on-site and they are carrying out site cleaning activities based on the training they received.
When emergencies strikes, local organizations are often the first to respond. In Mozambique, IOM is working closely with local organizations like Pronanac to strengthen their ability to support displaced communities. Through training on safer shelter construction, camp management, and emergency response, volunteers and community leaders are gaining the skills they need to rebuild and protect their communities. With the right knowledge and support, they’re not just responding to crises, they’re building a more resilient future. © IOM 2025 / Begum Basaran
