LIZZIE - photograph of five young women 'in service' during the early 1900's. Lizzie is the young girl on the right - my grandmother - who, with the other girls, were employed by the agency who provided service staff to wealthy houses in Toxteth, Liverpool.

Monochrome photographic print overpainted with acrylic paints to create a colourful and unique border around the image.

EDMUND GARDNER - Overpainted Photoart - MOP-0003

The 'Edmund Gardner', berthed in Canning Graving Dock, Liverpool, England. Original image digitally selenium toned prior to being printed on high-quality glossy paper. Then manually overpainted with acrylic paint. The image depicts the former Liverpool pilot ship pictured in its original livery in 2013. The following year the vessel was chosen to be painted as a 'Dazzle' ship - in homage to the camouflage of ships in the First World War.

DERELICTION - a derelict watchmans hut standing on the Old Pier, Pier Head, Liverpool. The hut was finally destroyed during a fierce storm in 2018. Printed on HP Advance paper, selenium toned in Photoshop and hand-painted with acrylics.

YELLOW SUBMARINE REVISITED – A print of the Yellow Submarine which was in-situ in the Festival Gardens, Liverpool in 1987. Original selenium toned image printed on HP Advanced paper and manually overpainted with bright, vibrant acrylic paint colours of yellow, green, blue, white and black. Paint applied to print using careful application of palette knife and rescanned in high-quality to form the final image.
