**Story Behind the Shot:**
A nice day out birding and doing some bird photography at RSPB Middleton Lakes, we came across this rather relaxed Mallard duck, he was just waiting for his photo to be taken.

**Post-Processing:**
I was trying something a little different with this one by darkening the one corner and trying to make the Mallards colours pop a little bit more.I like the results, I also tried it in B&W also, if you would like to see that version let me know in the comments.

**Final Thoughts**
I like this one, I think it is always a good think to try new editing methods and try and create your own style.

Tandzatap is a tiny, picturesque village in Armenia’s Syunik Province, nestled high above the dramatic Vorotan River gorge - just a short distance from the famous Tatev Monastery.

These little Canada Goose (Branta canadensis) goslings was completely focused on the important business of nibbling grass — one clumsy step at a time. Covered in sunshine-yellow fluff and full of curiosity, it was a moment of calm joy in the wild.

I never get tired of photographing these tiny wanderers in spring — each one a reminder of how beautiful small things can be.

Seen from above, this painted turtle appears to hover like a spacecraft, flippers outstretched and eyes locked upward with a bemused expression. Photographed in the shallow waters of a wildlife refuge in Homosassa, Florida, its vivid markings and almost comical gaze offer a rare, top-down glimpse into the slow-motion charisma of freshwater life.

Captured this serene moment just before sunset – a group of young goslings nestled together, soaking in the last warmth of the day. The golden evening light gave their soft feathers an almost magical glow.

A russet tapestry lay thick upon the forest floor, a silent testament to the season's gentle decline.
