When the production of No.5 expanded in 1924, Chanel refined her bottle design only slightly. The square stopper became facetted and octagonal, possibly inspired by the shape of the Place Vendôme in Paris. Bevelling the sharp shoulders of the bottle made it less liable to break.*

The first UK exhibition dedicated to the work of French couturière, Gabrielle 'Coco' Chanel. It charted the establishment of the House of CHANEL and the evolution of her iconic design style which continues to influence the way women dress today.
