Cemetery for Portuguese Jewish people since 1614 and still in use. One of the oldest in the world. Here are also Jewish people buried who were murdered and cremated in World War two in German concentration camps. As cremation is not allowed in Jewish religion they were reburied here.

Here is the grave of Elieser who was a black servant or slave from Africa working for the rich family de Pinto. Elieser converted to Judaism and thus could be buried here. On his grave was written "Sepultura do bom servo Elieser" buried 1629
