盛夏的大花紫薇如煙火般綻放，花瓣柔軟而輕盈，在陽光下閃耀著不經意的浪漫。
In full summer bloom, the queen’s crape myrtle bursts like floral fireworks—soft, crinkled petals glowing gently under the sun.

I am not sure what kind of bush this is, It is pretty tall I am guess close to 15 feet maybe, its about 25 feet wide, and it may be more of a tree then it is a bush. The blooms on this thing are super cool, and I try to get a good image each year. This is what I have been trying to do for the last 4 years. I am happy with the outcome of this one.

Took my mountain bike to ride on a dirt road in the country to finally kneel in the damp earth with my forehead and eyes wet and stinging with perspiration, but I am happy as the efforts have been rewarded! :)

This is known as spiderwort and it attracts pollinators such as hoverflies and bees. It comes in a few different shades of purple although this is the most common in this area of Canada.
