Steamrail Victoria's annual "Snow Train" trip to Gippsland, featuring optional side trips to Mt Baw Baw, Walhalla and some of our finest wineries.
This was the largest double-headed steam-hauled passenger train to Gippsland since the end of the steam era. It featured two R class locomotives hauling 14 passenger cars to carry 560 passengers and had a total length of around 350 metres.
The service was fully booked well in advance and hundreds of onlookers lined the route between Melbourne and Traralgon for a glimpse.

5917, a privately owned locomotive operated by Lachlan Valley Railway storms through Belford with "The Blue Zephyr" winery tour train, on a private charter from Singleton to Sydney. Being a private charter, it was harder to get information on this movement, and it was nice to get a good result at the end of the day!
