Broad gauge (5'3") Australian National ALCo model DL531 units swing off the Apamurra branch at Monarto South, South Australia with another load of grain for export circa December 1989.
The branch was converted to standard gauge a few years later, but unfortunately was abandoned around a decade ago.

On a hot dry, dry, potentially stormy, New Year's Day in 1993, Australian National branchline ALCo units 839/843 shunt the silos at Lameroo while working a Pinarroo to Tailem Bend grain train.
At the time of writing, 2015 looked like being the last season that rail would be used to move the harvest over this line.
Australian National ALCos 839/945 drift down the grade towards Roseworthy with a loaded grain train from Kapunda on 2 October 1987.
The Kapunda line continued to see trains for around another 15 years, but sadly today sees none.
Had to do a bit of work to make this one presentable, but this is how I remember it.
The regular weekly Adelaide to Strathalbyn goods behind broad gauge Alco branchliners 839/844 catches the early morning sun as it rolls past Ambleside in the Adelaide Hills on 24 April 1987. This stretch of track is now standard gauge and this is the site of a new crossing loop currently under construction.
