Savannah & Atlanta 2715 is on display at the Central of Georgia Railroad Museum at 601 W. Harris in Savannah, Georgia. It was the last of 11 GP35’s bought by the Southern Railway with full S&A lettering in December 1964 and January 1965. The S&A had been owned by the Central of Georgia since 1951, so when the Southern obtained control of the CofG in 1963 it also got the S&A. These units were eventually relettered SOUTHERN with S&A sublettering on the cab, and this was later changed to CG. This loco was retired by the Norfolk Southern in October 1992 and donated to the Coastal Heritage Society in Savannah, where it has been restored as S&A 2715.
She was built in 1965 as Southern Railway GP35 #2715. The Savannah & Atlanta was part of the Southern Railway system by this time.
In late May 2013, a crew turns a short train on the turntable at the Georgia State Railroad Museum. The museum is located on the site of a former Central of Georgia Railway shop in Savannah. It will be a short ride as the museum is now landlocked from outside rail access. In use is a General Electric 44-tonner. It was built as Bstn & Maine 119 in 1948, then Claremont & Concord Railroad,(CCRR) same number.

Another great title would be "Little Shop of Horrors." Hard to tell what's for sale here. Gas lanterns, clocks, abacuses and a couple of disco balls are some of the few things recognizable. It could also be a repair shop or both.

Speakers, wires, and circuits fill every inch of this tiny shop, but in the middle of the mess, skilled hands bring sound back to life. treet photography that captures the essence of a working-class repairman’s world. The cluttered workspace, filled with coils of copper wire, disassembled speakers, and scattered tools, tells a powerful story of resourcefulness and skill. The two men, deeply engrossed in their work, add a strong human element, making the viewer feel like they’ve stepped into a hidden world of electronic resurrection.
