URBAN PLANTLIFE JUMBLE in suburban Columbia S.C., along the Congaree River.

"Go in and see if you can find me a snake," I told my companion. "I'm headed back to the car."

When I got to the car I drove onto Interstate 77 northbound. I went 300+ miles before I realized I had rudely abandoned my companion, who had been frantically texting me the entire time. It was too late to turn back so I blocked their number. :(
