Am 5. Juli 2019 war das Wetter in Haderslev, Dänemark, überwiegend sonnig bei Temperaturen bis zu 22 Grad Celsius.
Haderslev liegt im Südwesten Dänemarks in der Region Syddanmark und hat eine reiche Geschichte, die bis ins Mittelalter zurückreicht. Die Stadt wurde 1225 gegründet und war im Mittelalter ein bedeutendes Handelszentrum. Der Name Haderslev leitet sich vermutlich vom alten dänischen Wort „Hadar“ ab, was so viel wie „Heide“ bedeutet, und „lev“, was „Ort“ bedeutet.
Ein markantes Bauwerk in Haderslev ist die Haderslev Domkirke, deren Geschichte bis ins 12. Jahrhundert zurückgeht. Die Kirche, ein Beispiel für romanische Architektur, wurde im Laufe der Jahrhunderte mehrfach erweitert und umgebaut, unter anderem im gotischen und barocken Stil. Die beeindruckende Architektur der Kirche spiegelt die Bedeutung von Haderslev als religiöses und kulturelles Zentrum wider.
In Haderslev gibt es auch die Haderslev Hus, eine historische Burg, die im 13. Jahrhundert erbaut wurde. Die Burg diente als Residenz der dänischen Könige und spielte eine wichtige Rolle in den politischen und militärischen Angelegenheiten der Region. Heute sind von der Burg nur noch Ruinen erhalten, die jedoch einen interessanten Einblick in die historische Architektur und das Leben in der mittelalterlichen Zeit geben.
Ein weiteres historisches Highlight ist der Haderslev Dam, ein künstlich angelegter See, der im 19. Jahrhundert geschaffen wurde, um die Stadt mit Wasser zu versorgen. Der See hat sich zu einem beliebten Ort für Spaziergänge und Erholung entwickelt und bietet zudem einen Blick auf die umliegende Landschaft und die historische Architektur der Stadt.
Die Altstadt von Haderslev ist besonders gut erhalten und bietet einen faszinierenden Einblick in das mittelalterliche Stadtbild. Die engen Gassen, traditionellen Häuser und historischen Gebäude schaffen eine authentische Atmosphäre, die die lange Geschichte der Stadt widerspiegelt.

Am 15. Juni 2017 wurde Tournai in Belgien bei angenehmen Temperaturen und überwiegend sonnigem Wetter besucht. Der Tag bot ideale Bedingungen, um die historische Altstadt ausführlich zu erkunden.
Tournai, eine der ältesten Städte Belgiens, hat eine faszinierende Geschichte, die bis in die römische Zeit zurückreicht. Die Stadt liegt am Fluss Schelde und spielte seit jeher eine bedeutende Rolle in der Region Flandern. Im Mittelalter war Tournai ein wichtiges Handelszentrum und ein bedeutender religiöser Ort. Die Stadt war im 12. Jahrhundert ein bedeutendes Zentrum des Tuchhandels und ein wichtiger Ort der Erzbischöflichen Autorität. Der Erzbischof von Tournai hatte großen Einfluss auf die Politik und die religiösen Belange der Region.
Das bekannteste Bauwerk der Stadt ist die Kathedrale von Tournai, ein beeindruckendes Beispiel romanischer Architektur, die im Jahr 1146 vollendet wurde. Diese Kathedrale, die seit 2000 Teil des UNESCO-Weltkulturerbes ist, zeichnet sich durch ihre fünf Türme und die beeindruckende Fassade aus. Die Kathedrale enthält bedeutende Kunstwerke und Architektur, darunter die berühmten Bronzeglocken von Tournai und prächtige Kirchenfenster aus dem 13. Jahrhundert.
Im Laufe der Geschichte wurde Tournai mehrmals von verschiedenen Mächten erobert und besetzt, darunter die Franzosen und die Spanier, was zur Folge hatte, dass die Stadt verschiedene architektonische Stile und kulturelle Einflüsse aufnahm. Während des Ersten Weltkriegs wurde Tournai ebenfalls schwer beschädigt, doch viele historische Gebäude konnten restauriert oder rekonstruiert werden. Neben der Kathedrale sind auch andere historische Gebäude wie das Tour de Beurre und das Rathaus von Tournai von Bedeutung. Das Tour de Beurre, ursprünglich ein Wachturm, wurde im 13. Jahrhundert umgebaut und diente später als Aufbewahrungsort für Butter, was dem Gebäude seinen Namen gab. Das Rathaus, im gotischen Stil erbaut, ist bekannt für seine kunstvollen Fassaden und seine historische Bedeutung.
Die Stadt hat sich seit dem Mittelalter weiterentwickelt und bietet heute ein charmantes Stadtbild, das historische Architektur mit lebhaften Märkten und modernen Annehmlichkeiten verbindet. Die Altstadt von Tournai, die von beeindruckenden Stadtmauern umgeben ist, ist ein beliebtes Ziel für Besucher, die sich für Geschichte und Architektur interessieren. It is generally accepted that Mudéjar art in architecture first appeared in the town of Sahagún in the 12th century. For the construction of buildings in Mudéjar style it was very common to use inexpensive materials like brick, wood, and stucco.

The church of Saint Mary at Mount Naranco (Iglesia de Santa María del Naranco) is a pre-Romanesque building near Oviedo, Asturias, in northern Spain. The palace was completed in 842 and had in part a religious function, being consecrated in 848. In December 1985 the building/church was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Santo Domingo de Silos Abbey (Abadía del Monasterio de Santo Domingo de Silos) is a Benedictine monastery in the village of Santo Domingo de Silos, Burgos Province, Spain.
The two-storey cloister of the monastery is considered a masterpiece of Romanesque art.
The lower storey was begun during the last quarter of the 11th century and completed in the second half of the 12th century.

The Church of Saint Martin of Tours is located in Frómista, province of Palencia, Spain. The church was built in the 11th century in Romanesque style. It is often visited by the pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela (when travelling along the so-called Camino Francés). In 1894 the church was declared a National Monument and a restoration was started, which brought the church back to its original state, removing numerous later additions. The church was reopened to the public in 1904.

Santo Domingo de Silos Abbey (Abadía del Monasterio de Santo Domingo de Silos) is a Benedictine monastery in the village of Santo Domingo de Silos, Burgos Province, Spain.
The two-storey cloister of the monastery is considered a masterpiece of Romanesque art. The capitals in the lower cloister are decorated with dragons, centaurs, lattices, and mermaids. The cloisters are the only surviving part of the monastery that has not changed since its inception.
