NR11 leads NR4 and NR32 in full cry up through Athol with Pacific National SteelLink service 3YN2 from Whyalla (SA) to Morandoo (Newcastle, NSW). -YN2 is typically a very short, very heavy train of loaded steel. The train normally arrives into Parkes behind two mainline locomotives of the NR/93/AN Class, where a third locomotive is added for the run over the steep grades between Parkes and Sydney.
NR11 leads a quad of NR106 (Casino), NR35 and NR5 (Shire of Junee) under Lachlan Valley Way overpass approaching Yass Junction.
