An intermodal's power sheds heat waves even on a windy late afternoon (5-7-2025) at West Snowden, Montana, preparing to knock green to red as it passes a westbound mixed freight that took the siding not long before. I didn't catch the leader or the second unit numbers, unfortunately. I'm glad that #7705 was facing the rear, though, for there's a lot of graffiti on the far side that's been there since at least the late 2000's. (I'm not fond of such defacement and won't further it in any way in images. The railroads obviously care little about image in this modern "bottom line" day and age, though.)
While visiting my family, we were introduced to the ruined buildings in the Welsh slate quarry at Denorwic in the district of Gwynedd. Not only are there multiple galleries but ruinined buildings and rusting metal equipment. It can be a very depressing place if the weather is bad but on this day the sun was shining and the wind calm and warm. In the background is Mount Snowden, the highest mountain in Wales

A border fence. Behind it is a 'code-waterfall' effect as seen in the credit sequences of the Wachowskis' 'Matrix' movies. Looming over the fence is a panicked figure who has been gagged.

A stainless steel, riveted cubic vault. On one face is a giant vault door surmounted by the FBI logo. On the other face is a rusty screen door with the words NO ENTRY on it; through the screen we see a Chinese flag.
