The French artist and photographer Virginie Maillard creates visual stories that, while they involve levels of digital manipulation and so take us beyond the real in a literal sense, retain their photographic sensibility. They construct new stories that are both personal and worldly: metaphors of the real built on the foundations of experience. As the old civilisation collapses generating crisis, illusion and corruption, the paradox of the real echoes through the imaginative lens of memory.

What is free economy? Does free economy mean that housing is just like other commodities to be traded under direction of profit motive.
That means low income people or seniors cannot live in the city centre because they cannot afford the high housing prices.
That means small merchants and independent shops cannot run their business in city neighbourhoods because they cannot afford the high rent.
Only high income and the wealthy have the right to live in the city core or the surrounding area. You believe in free economy or a regulated market?
Provincial election is coming and can we expect something to change?
