Oisemont is a French commune located in the Somme department, Hauts-de-France region.
In May 1940, during the Battle of France, the Oisemont region was the scene of fighting between German and French forces. The nearby village of Stonne was the site of fighting between Wehrmacht forces and French tanks. The village was captured and recaptured seven times in four days and was completely destroyed.
