Ah the Broad River, the famous one, yes I remember it.

Of the three famous rivers of the city of Columbia, South Carolina — the Broad, the Saluda, and the Congaree — the Broad River is supposedly the least-loved. Maybe it's because people do not like the color of the water!

Orangish muddiness of the famous river the Reedy River of northwestern South Carolina. by Tim Kiser

Orangish muddiness of the famous river the Reedy River of northwestern South Carolina.

I like its orangishness but I want more, and I hereby call for TRIPLE ULTISOLS to be added to these waters. We need TRIPLE ULTISOLS in the suspended sediments.

I'm a big fan of that little island of mud over there.

In Lake Conestee Nature Park in Conestee, South Carolina, on December 27th, 2017, the Reedy River as viewed from a pedestrian bridge.

The Reedy River flows to the Saluda River, which flows to the Congaree River, which flows to the Santee River, which flows to the Atlantic Ocean.

According to signage elsewhere in the park, the river has been flowing in the channel seen here only since the early 1980s, having shifted itself from a different channel elsewhere in its floodplain.
